Seconds v North Wellington 4/4/09
Match Reports - Reserve Team

BNU Seconds 1 - North Wellington 1

The BNU Seconds managed to field a good competitive side for Saturday's game. Dave Tompkins and newcomer Noel Raggett combined well at centre back with Steve Dimakis in goal. The first half, however, was mostly North Wellington's. They combined well at times and had quite a few shots - mostly from outside the box fortunately. As the pressure mounted, North Wellington put a through ball into the box which led to a fine finish and gave them a 1-0 lead at half time.

BNU turned it around in the second half and play some nice passing football. Craig Adolph worked hard up front as did another newcomer Joe McKay. The game opend up considerably, probably due to lack of fitness from both teams and an opportunity fell to right back Issac Nana who scored a 25 yard pearler, curling it past the keeper, just under the bar. 1-1 to BNU.

Mention goes to Liban Yusuf who worked hard in the centre of the pitch and also to Rom Smith who came on midway through the second half and provided much needed fresh legs.
