Dear BNUers
Committee Positions The Committee will have several vacancies in 2008, so please consider getting involved. It's a pretty small time commitment (one meeting a fortnight). With vacancies in three major roles, President, Chairman and Secretary, we're looking for some new people with great ideas to take Brooklyn where we want it to go. Please send your nominations or expressions of interest to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Social Committee and Bell Road Team BNU run by a team of volunteers who can only do so much. In order to keep things moving along it has been suggested to BNU develop teams to handle some of the more appealing jobs of the committee - the social side of the club and the proposed development of Bell Rd. If members approve this at the AGM, we'll need members of the club to nominate themselves for these roles. If you have a strong view on this, one way or the other, or would like to be involved in either team please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Remember, the effort you put in can really impact on things the club can offer members. Bell Road At the Future Direction meeting in October it was decided that the Committee recommend to the Club that Bell Road be developed into a quality training facility at the AGM. If the motion is passed we would like your input as users on what features the facility should have so we can develop design concepts. If this vote is not passed the Club will need to decide and vote on what to do with it (as you are no doubt aware, the lease at Bell Rd has come up for renewal). Current Clubrooms At the Future Direction Club Meeting members decided Brooklyn needs to place more focus on the social aspects of the club and identify and implement mechanisms to engage teams with the club. At the AGM the Committee would like to find out how the club feels about its current clubrooms at Mornington Golf Club, and where BNU members would like to see the clubrooms in the future. In the short term, it is seeking ideas about how BNU can improve our relationship with the Golf Club, and what can be done to attract more BNU members to functions in 2008. Look forward to seeing you there. BNU committee |
